Jarrett Prairie Center
Visit this outstanding educational center and museum located on the third highest point in Ogle County overlooking 450 acres of restored prairie. The Center is open daily and there is no admission fee (donations are accepted). Habitat exhibits, dioramas, audio interpretation, and a spectacular view of the prairie are just a few of the features at the Jarrett Prairie Center. You will also see woodland, wetland, and prairie environments on display along with dioramas depicting pre-European settlement conditions. Interpretive programming helps visitors enjoy, appreciate, and interact with nature through educational programs, hikes, and tours for the general public and for school, youth, and private groups. A gift shop is also available to purchase an awesome souvenir! All areas are handicap accessible.
