
Bald Hill Wildflower Walk

Join us for an evening at the Bald Hill Prairie Preserve for an early summer wildflower walking tour of the District’s newest preserve. The preserve has endangered woolly milkweed, several recently restored oak savannas and is home to the biggest tree in Illinois, a huge Eastern cottonwood that is 28.5 feet in circumference and 122 feet tall. This tour will have moderate hiking. This programs is being offered in conjunction with the Natural Land Institute and Severson Dells Nature Center.
