Our prairie plants are unique! Compass plants have leaves that point north, cup plants hold water, and big blue stem’s roots can grow 12 feet deep. All of these features help these plants grow in an environment with uncertain temperatures and rainfall, yearly fires, and rocky soil. We will hike, collect, and study some of the more interesting plants on our prairie. Please wear sturdy shoes, with long pants preferred.

Other: Bring a lunch and dress for the water.
