Bring your family out for our first-annual Honey Harvest Festival and learn about how we gather and harvest honey! Our beekeeper will be on hand to demonstrate beekeeping and to answer questions. Explore the pioneer farm and learn about early farms in Illinois and how the settlers brought honeybee hives from Europe, introducing honeybees to North America.  Take a hayride through the Clyde James Prairie and the Jarrett Prairie to safely see working beehives.  We will have food trucks, vendors, and our new bee mascot, Byron the Bee!
