To celebrate Illinois Oak Tree Awareness Month (Oaktober), Superintendent of Education, Mark Herman, will lead a guided tour of the Howard Colman Hall Creek Preserve located at 12749 North Weldon Road, Rockford.  This 280 acre preserve is made up of rare mature oak-hickory forests located along the dells of Hall Creek. Learn about the importance of our native oak trees and the wildlife that they support.
