Homeschool Class – The Ways of Water

September 17, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

$10.00

We live on karst topography—that means that the limestone and dirt beneath us are continuously being eroded, and the shape of the landscape can change over a few years. Learn how the structure of our geography affects our plant and animal communities, and how the region’s water drainage shapes their world. We’ll see gullies, cliffs, and dells, and examine some of the unique plants and animals living in them. We will hike in and out of the creek, so be sure to dress for mud! Water shoes, gardening boots, or old tennis shoes are preferred.

Ages :  6 – 13 years old

Min/Max 5/25

Please call 815-234-8535 to register by 9/15 at 4pm.
