Christmas party for beekeepers! There will be honey tasting, honey recipe samples, wassail, door prizes, and lots of bee talk about order bees for spring shipment. No registration required.
We will learn about the winter constellations, the north star, and how people over time have used these for navigation. There will be a public program on Saturday night, and homeschoolers and their families are welcome to attend—we will have telescopes and binoculars to see them in real life. The Byron Forest Preserve District Board of Commissioners' regular monthly meeting is open to the public.
Our administration offices are closed for the Holidays, and open back for business on January 3rd, at 8am. The Jarrett Prairie Center Museum will be open to the public from 9am-12pm. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
